Past Performance Evaluation Requirements

Effective immediately, all Department of Defense contracting officers shall comply with the attached language, in lieu of FAR 42.1502(h), when collecting and using past performance information. This class deviation requires past performance reporting for contracts awarded under FAR subpart 8.7, Acquisition from Nonprofit Agencies Employing People Who are Blind or Severely Handicapped, when the thresholds in Class Deviation 2012-O0017 are exceeded.

In addition, FAR 8.606 makes contracts with Federal Prison Industries subject to past performance evaluation in accordance with FAR subpart 42.15. The past performance evaluation requirements and the thresholds in Class Deviation 2012-O0017 apply to contracts issued under both FAR subparts 8.6 and 8.7.

This class deviation remains in effect until incorporated in the DFARS or otherwise rescinded.
