Class Deviation 2007-O0009
Combating Trafficking in Persons

Effective as of the date of this memo, all Military Departments and Defense Agencies shall deviate from the requirements of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) Subpart 222.17 and the clause at 252.222-7006, Combating Trafficking in Persons. Instead, contracting officers shall follow Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 22.17 and use the clause at 52.222-50, Combating Trafficking in Persons.

As a result of recent changes made to the FAR, Item V of Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-19, the need for a DoD supplemental rule no longer exists. DFARS is being amended to remove unnecessary policy language and the related clause.

This deviation remains in effect until implemented in the DFARS, or otherwise rescinded.
