Class Deviation 2007-O0003
New 8(a) Partnership Agreement Between the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Department of Defense

My January 29, 2007 memo, Class Deviation 2007-O0001, provided notice of an extension through February 28, 2007, of the 8(a) Partnership Agreement between the Small Business Administration and the Department of Defense (DoD). This memo, Class Deviation 2007-O0003, supersedes Class Deviation 2007-O0001, and provides notification of a new 8(a) Partnership Agreement effective through September 30, 2009, by the attached agreement. The new Partnership Agreement allows DoD Contracting Officers to continue to award 8(a) contracts directly to 8(a) Program participants in accordance with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) 219.800(a). DFARS Subpart 219.8 is being amended to incorporate the new Partnership Agreement. Accordingly, Contracting Officers are authorized to deviate from the DFARS 219.800(a) September 30, 2006, expiration date. This class deviation (2007-O0003) remains in effect until it is superseded, rescinded, or until the DFARS is amended as discussed above.
