Class Deviation 2006-O0005
Extension of 8(a) Partnership Agreement between the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Department of Defense

My October 2, 2006 memo, Class Deviation 2006-O0002, provided notice of an extension through December 1, 2006, of the 8(a) Partnership Agreement between the Small Business Administration and the Department of Defense (DoD). This memo, Class Deviation 2006-O0005, supersedes Class Deviation 2006-O0002, and extends the current 8(a) Partnership Agreement through January 30, 2007, by the attached amendment. This amendment allows DoD Contracting Officers to continue to award 8(a) contracts directly to 8(a) Program participants in accordance with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) 219.800(a). DFARS Subpart 219.8 is being amended to reflect the extension. Accordingly, Contracting Officers are authorized to deviate from the DFARS 219.800(a) September 30, 2006, expiration date. This class deviation (2006-O0005) remains in effect until it is superseded, rescinded, or until the DFARS is amended as discussed above.

Effective Date: December 1, 2006 (16 years ago)
Expire Date: January 30, 2007 (16 years ago)
Rescinded: January 29, 2007 (16 years ago)
